Tamarind Springs is recognized well beyond Thailand’s borders as top spa destination in Asia. Since opening in 1998 as Koh Samui’s first dedicated day Spa, our philosophy has been to continuously enhance the range of our services. With the addition of a dedicated health food restaurant to our existing day spa and massage academy operation, we hope to make your experience at Tamarind Springs complete and special by serving healthy, wholesome food in our Spa Café.

On Samui, restaurants serving truly healthy, nutritious food free of chemical residues are in short supply. At Tamarind Springs we have established guidelines to guarantee that the food we serve you is of the same high quality we expect for ourselves:

We try to go back to the roots of original Thai Cuisine, which in its unadulterated form is very nutritious and healthy. Part of the overall concept of Thai food preparation also is that no matter what, it must be tasty.

• Our menu is largely vegetarian.
• All ingredients are guaranteed free of MSG and other taste enhancement agents.
• Use of salt and sugar is kept to a minimum. We use either unrefined cane or palm sugar or wild honey (100% organic).
• Our vegetables and fruit are as much as possible purchased from local small producers; they are fresh and free of chemical residues.
• Our seafood is guaranteed “food from the sea”, and NOT farmed “sea food”.
• Our chicken meat is exclusively from free-range formerly happy chickens.
• We only use pure cold pressed oils in our cooking and preparation of dishes.
• There are many wheat-free dishes available for persons with related dietary alleges. If you have any special dietary requests feel free to mention it to our staff and we are more than happy to accommodate your needs within the scope of our possibilities.
• At Tamarind Springs Café do not expect to always get exactly the same dish you might have enjoyed during your previous visit. Due to seasonal availability of certain ingredients dishes as specified in the menu can be subject to some variations. Our food preparation is not run of the mill, and there might be a new twist or sometimes a little surprise!

Please check our black board for “dish of the day”, often prepared from ingredients only seasonally available or chanced upon during a visit to the market.

The Café is open daily from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm. Customers who do not come for any Spa treatments are welcome. Internet facilities are available in the Spa area.

Please remember that the use of mobile phones and cameras is not permitted at Tamarind Springs.
