Massage therapy continuing education

Forest Spa - Tamarind Springs

Tamarind Springs Massage Academy educates and trains spa professionals – beginners starting a career in massage therapy, and professionals who want to hone their skills, or learn new techniques.

Training is offered by qualified and certified massage therapists and expert instructors only and is committed to the highest level of massage therapy. At the same time, the courses are simple, easy to understand, interactive, and enjoyable, including yoga and daily steam baths to ensure a holistic, healthy experience for all.

For beginner massage therapy courses you don't need to know anything about massage therapy before you start the course. With your sincere commitment and our rigorous training, you will find that if you successfully graduate from any of our courses, you will be able to begin practice as a professional massage therapist.

For professionals learning new techniques, all the courses are a practical, hands-on, individualized, efficient and cost effective way to learn new massage techniques. Our intensive focus on pertinent material, and our holistic approach will increase your ability to deliver exceptional treatment and to be sensitively attentive to the unique physical and spiritual needs of each client.

Courses currently cover:

Traditional Thai Yoga Massage: This ancient healing art is a unique and powerful massage that focuses on stimulation the energy system through which your natural life forces flow.

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD): This is a specialized massage technique, developed in the 1932's by the Danish practitioner Dr. Emil Vodder, which is now widely recognized and practiced in America and Europe .

Reflexology (Ingham method): An easy, safe and effective way to promote and maintain good health, reflexology was first recorded in 2300 BC in Egypt . Ingham Method practitioners use their thumbs and fingers to apply pressure.

Massage training is conducted at Tamarind Springs Massage Academy in Koh Samui Thailand.
